There is no past the prime / There is no clock that’s running my time but Christ / And I’ll gladly count down / To the second when I blast out of this life / And in to the Kingdom./ You are not mistaking my beauty, Son / I’m saying no before you ask / Step up to the task / of understanding what female means / Because I have God written all over me. / It’s what I’m here to say / And if you don’t read it in these words / Then you can see it in my face / Because it’s not giving in to man / Not giving up on God’s plan / It’s resolute. In a faith that stands / In a Word that can stand alone / Amidst fools who call themselves wise. / Let it be known / That this is God’s child / Who finds no vice in being called “like Christ” / And to you / So full of wealth and knowledge: / I consider your state fallen / So far from truth / That I pray my sons and daughters never see / The wall of destruction that is your levee / That can not withstand / The hand of God. / There is no race to the swift / That I’m gonna quit / To let you sit there / And think I’m running for the fame or the money or the game / That’s on your screen / It’s a prize blind eyes can’t see / Fueled by the Holy Spirit in me. / While rocks may cry out the glory of God’s name, / I live to put them to shame / Because my life is not in vain / And you will see that the Jesus Christ whom I proclaim / Is worth much more than the failures of one day. / So I. am. not. failing.
